I am a documentary producer who has made films for the BBC, Channel 4, PBS Frontline and VICE.
In 2024, I produced & directed a C4 Dispatches investigating Coca-Cola’s environmental impact and a C4 Untold looking at rental scams in the UK. Headland (2024) a short film I produced premiered at Edinburgh International Film Festival in August 2024.
From 2021-2023, I worked as a series producer for VICE World News on three of VWN’s hit series: Investigators, Developing News and System Error.
As an investigative journalist, I have won competitive reporting grants from National Geographic, the International Women in Media Foundation and One World Media. I was named an IWMF Grantee of the Howard G. Buffett Fund in 2020 and longlisted for a One World Media Award for my reporting on women in post-revolution Sudan in 2021.
I filmed and produced the BAFTA-nominated film ‘Growing Up Poor: Britain’s Breadline Kids’ for C4 Dispatches in 2019.
In 2019, I was a Finalist in the Joseph Rowntree Foundation x The Guardian Pitch at Sheffield Doc/Fest. In 2018, I was named a ‘Rising Director’ by the Indie Training Fund and given funding to make a short documentary about debt-bondage in the UK and race, which premiered at Sheffield Doc/Fest in June 2018.
I graduated with an MA in Arabic and International Relations from the University of St Andrews in 2016.
I am fluent in English, French, Spanish and can read and write in Arabic.
